CNN PRODUCER NOTE     yadray told me, 'the lines of people waiting for admission all three days was hundreds deep.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

    paris...the louvre..12th annual ParisPhoto faire

the largest ...and most prestigious photography faire, where this year 140 galleries from around the world gathered to sell photographs dating from the 1860's to the most contemporary...

easy to get lost in the cavernous louvre carousel...easy to meet and talk to the hundreds of photographers whose work was for sale and those who were there expressly to meet old friends whom they had worked with over their careers....

the Henri Cartier-Bresson photo of "ile de la cité" (1952, in Paris) photo #6, was priced at  $15,000...the large photomontage of NYC  mentioned and shown in the video was priced at $25,000..

photo #8..a cropped photo by a Moroccan woman photographer whose theme was "Women in Morocco"...clothing and bodies complely cover and partly obscured by henna-ed Arabic script..

    brilliant.....

.photo #1...the photo which I had taken the previous day and gave the Japanese photographer Yumiko Utsu was a gift...  she considered it priceless,... nontheless she tried to eat.  She is standing in front of a wall featuring her "fantasy" photographs.

Th gallery director in the video is Michael Hoppen whose gallery is in London..

hopefully, i'll return next year...and the year after...and the year.....and maybe I'll find Yumiko and offer her portraits printed on edible rice paper......
