    Students, Faculty alike protest the 32% fee increase at UC Irvine's administration building

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     gmangoman told me, 'We marched to the front door of our Admin building and were denied entrance. A police barrier was set up. After peacefully protesting, calling it an end, the leaders of the march went to a side door before it was barricaded off, letting two people inside. They went around asking for Chancellor Drake but he wasn't there.'

    About 400 students and faculty marched around UC Irvine's ring road to have a peaceful protest regarding the 32% increase in student fees passed by the UC Regents board last Thursday.

     

    One student was carried away by police into the building and has yet to be released.
