    Beating the Recession One Pie at a Time:  The Obama Stimulus Pizza


    Nick 'n' Willy's Pizza -- Boulder, CO

     

    Good morning everyone,

     

    *cue movie trailer announcer voice* 

     

    "In a town where everyone seemed to be beating the recession, in a world consumed by the love of pizza, one take'n'bake pizzeria was about to change the face of history..."

     

    So, here in Boulder, much like the rest of the US, we sure love our pizza.  From several Colorado-based chains to the national ones not to mention all the "take'n'bake" places and you wind up with some seriously good pizza options.

     

    However, Nick 'n' Willy's, a Boulder institution, took everything a step further this year by offering a special deal to help beat the recession:  "The Obama Stimulus Pizza."  The first time I saw the sign I laughed so hard I nearly cried.  I just love it when topical pop culture, US politics, and good pizza come together...

     

    The lesson here?  That pizza is recession-proof, I guess, right?
