This iReport is part of an assignment:
Same-sex marriage: Civil right vs. states' rights |
I will never understand..
I will never understand what everyone has against equal marraige rights for gays and lesbians. There are no valid arguments against it.
1- "Well, the Bible says..." Yes, and the Bible also says to burn your daughter if she is a prostitute or a witch.
2- "But i's not natural..." Well, neither is the computer that some slave child in Norway helped create parts for. I'm sure your cellphone didn't grow out of a tree, either.
3- "They can't procreate!" Oh, yes, it's GREAT to create more babies when we have plenty of children in orphanages who need more homes!
4- "But if everyone was gay, we'd cease to exist..." Precisely why only some people are gay.
5- "Men and women evolved to procreate together. The parts fit!" So who is to say that homosexuality isn't evolution? Population control before we all starve to death.
Please, give me more of your arguments to rebute. Honestly, it just doesn't make any sense to ban gay marriage. They tried "separate-but-equal" once, and you all know how that turned ou, there's no need to try it again!
