Lightning Strikes near Pittsburgh
These are some images of lightning strikes during a large storm near Pittsburgh on 6-13-08.
The images were taken about 1 mile East of the Pittsburgh International Airport. The storm itself was almost directly over the airport.
I captured the strikes using a simple Kodak C743. In most cases, when it wasn't raining, the camera was set on top of the roof of my car and aimed in the general direction of the storm. The recordings were done in 2 minute segments. I'd then watch each video, marking the points of lightning strikes, then converting the video section frames to BMP image format and Volia! Image of lightning strikes!
