    NYC: A Laser Commute

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sjunat55 says he was impressed by the laster show in Grand Central. "It's kind of cool to see the crowds rushing to the trains while the music is playing and the lasers flashing. Makes you realize that you really have to look up or you miss half the action! There's a sequence with the map of the city and trains zooming by, while they play Take the A Train- it even flashes subway lines crossing the city."
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

Grand Central Station, that busy New York City commuter train hub used by thousands of passengers each day, so famous for the ceiling depicting the constellations, is adding a little holiday flavor to the rush.
Every half hour, for several minutes, a laser show takes place 125 feet over the historic Main Concourse, including seasonal music and the all seasons train departures announcements. And commuters rushing by.
One laser sequence (seen in one of the clips), depicts the map of New York City (Staten Island missing!), with trains speeding back and forth and subway routes flashing on the map.  Six different shows are scheduled from 11am to 9pm every half hour until December 31st.
The finale is a "Season's Greetings from NYC" display.
In New York City if you don't look up you miss half the stuff there's to see.
    So, Season's Greetings from NYC!
