    The Christmas Tree Center Stage

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sjunat55 witnessed the lighting of the famous Rockefeller Christmas tree Wednesday night and said it was pouring. He came back this morning after the rain has passed and the crowds were gone to capture these shots.

    The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree was illuminated on Wednesday, December 2nd. Thousands braved the rain, wind and police barricades to see it.

    I went back to see it early this morning, no crowds, where it stands center stage in front of the skating rink, in the middle of the plaza, next to 30 Rock.
