President Obamas speech on Afghanistan and the troop dispersal and withdrawal was a huge tactical Error !!  The people who are giving him advice should not have allowed that part of the speech.  The Guerilla fighters that our soldiers are fighting have infinite patience,  they have been fighting this war for 2000 years.  Now that they know our battle stragedies, all they have to do is downsize their fighters ie.  send them back to their villages,  Bury tons of arms and ammunition and wait until the Americans pull out .   Then pull all of the fighters back into service and retake the country from the people we leave in charge,  That won't be hard since they will not fight their own people.

It doesn't make any sense to fight an enemy if you are going to tell them your future plans.

The people in the middle East are determined to keep their lifes in the middle ages and do not want to change,  The fighters don't have to work,  they steal, murder and are willing to die by the thousands for a God that they believe asks them to do it .  The war over their is a futile effort and will never bare any fruit for the world.

Ask yourself one question!   Where do the guerrillas get the money to fight with?  Track the money, cut it off and the war ends!!!  NO threats,  warn the business's and rich supporters that their money will be confiscated and their business's will be shut down if they are caught supplying money to terrorists or guerrilla fighters.  Take this war to the money suppliers,  take them out and it will end.
