The Oakley-Lindsay Center is the place to be TODAY. My daughter and I are heading there to assist with sandbagging efforts.

There are many ways you can help volunteer. Go to the registration desk and the fine volunteer staff will get you started. Bring gloves if you plan to shovel to protect your hands from calluses.

National Guard troops are working nonstop to help maintain our levees. We need to all get out and support these fine young men and women. Working the levee is a very dangerous job.

MANY Quincy, IL city employees are working their regular jobs then assisting with the flood fighting effort for several hours.
