"The Cosmonaut" is  a Spanish feature film project in production. "The Cosmonaut" is a revolutionary project, not only for the Spanish motion picture industry, but for every aspiring filmmaker in the world. Developed by very young people -most of the crew are college students or recently graduated youngsters-  the film, in its funding stage, makes use of the possibilites Internet offers for creators. Instead of looking for the money of a bigger production company, Riot Cinema has asked to fans and Internet users to collaborate in the movie, either financially or artistically. The promotion and marketing of the movie uses Twitter and Facebook as its main tools. The movie will be released with Creative Commons license, so that means the audience will be able to share it, remix it, use it as footage for their own personal creations, and practically everything they want (as long as they make clear the authorship of the original material.) Thanks to these revolutionary features, several companies and hundreds of Internet users already work in the project.
