    Giant Snowball in Madison, WI

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     chadwyk is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he spotted students rolling a giant snowball in the street on December 9. He estimates the snowball grew to about 10 feet in diameter.

    During the blizzard on Dec 8 and Dec 9th 2009 - since the University of Wisconsin decided to close camps for the 9th, the night of the 8th became a night that everyone decided to go out and get drunk and play in the snow.  This is what the students decided to create with the snow... A giant snowball, and they left it in the middle of University Avenue.  The police came and made sure no cars hit it.
