    Cedar Rapids: Paramount Theatre Flooded

    The landmark Paramount Theatre was hit with the full force of the floodwaters from the Cedar River. CRATOS Mighty Wurlitzer organ was severely damaged by the flood. The first inspection occured on June 18th, and the organ console was discovered dislodged from its raised position, with warped wood, damaged mechanics, and at further risk if not removed as soon as possible. The theatre and organ date from 1928, and represent one of only 40 original installations remaining in the world. www.cr-atos.com
