    VICTIM #16479....Can Velib Survive?

    Another Velib rental bicycle vandalised and stolen in Paris, France.. It was reported in a Paris paper that Velib employees who repair bikes are on strike for higher wages and better working conditions. Info is sketchy about the number of bikes that have been either stolen or vandalised since the inception of Velib in July 2007. Unfortunately in certain arrondissements they can be seen trashed and discarded on a daily basis.
