Sarah Palin Draws Crowd in Coeur D'Alene, ID

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     rosehips told me, 'All the folks I talked to had been there since the day before. People were upbeat and friendly and seemed to all be having a great time.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

About 900 people were lucky enough to get Sarah Palin's signature on their copies of "Going Rogue" as many waited for close to, or over, 24 hours to get the opportunity to meet her! I mingled with the crowd and spoke with several of Sarah's fans, including a guy named John McCain! It was great fun and I even got to see Ms. Palin as she entered the book signing area. The nice employees of Fred Meyer's tried to keep us a full aisle back when she passed by, but as soon as we heard the screams from the crowd, we rushed to the side of the aisle to catch a passing glimpse of her. Unfortunately, she engaged with the folks on the "right" side of the aisle and us on the left were all but forsaken. But not totally as I am sure that she glanced back at me as I called out her name in an attempt to get her attention. I didn't realize that Todd was by her side until I saw the news last night and realized that the man at her side in the vid is none other than his hunkness himself.

The people I talked to were all very nice and the crowd was orderly and calm. No tomatoes, shoes or anything that I know of were thrown. Everyone seemed thrilled at the opportunity to meet the woman they hope will make a run for the Presidency in 2012.
