If there is one thing you can say about the Middle East it is that it is unpredictable. So many countries, so many cultures and so many conflicts create the complex environment in which we live in - war and peace, aggression and oppression, hostility and hope, love and hate. In all this chaos, the goal for peace and resolution is left hidden and awaits true leaders and visionaries to take their place in history and lead us all to a new golden era that all humanity can benefit from. A group of students from the
StandWithUs Israeli Fellowship at Tel Aviv University decided to raise the voice of peace by calling out to students from all over the world to participate in a 5 day
Middle East Peace Summit. In this conference, students from all nationalities, religions and faiths will simulate a peace summit that will focus on the core issues facing the leaders of the region. Each student will be a part of a delegation that represents a country in the Middle East or one of the world's super-powers. In order to face such a challenging task participants will learn every aspect of the country they are representing. This knowledge, combined with their own perspective - will be their only tools in this exciting quest for peace. During the conference the participants will enjoy lectures from top speakers on issues such as the art of negotiation, the Arab-Israeli conflict, diplomacy and much more; They will also take part in unique tours around Israel which will give them a first hand experience of the complex reality in the Middle East. The conference will be held in Tel Aviv from the 17th and until the 22nd of August. For more information, visit the MESC
