Marala Scott, An Incredible Breakthrough Woman

Marala Scott, author of 'In Our House, Perception vs Reality' survived an abusive childhood worse than any nightmare you can imagine. Her story is one of incredible strength, perseverance, and hope.

She has recently been recognized as an Ambassador of Hope by Oprah. And what an ambassador she is!

Marala has taken the horrific childhood she experienced and used it as a tool to fight domestic violence & child abuse. She travels the country speaking to college & high school students, women's groups, and at domestic violence shelters. Her mission is to HEAL (Help Educate & Alter Lives) as many lives as she can.  She believes that prevention and education are key to stopping the cycle of violence that affects so many families.

Marala has created postcards which list the 'Indicators of an Abuser.' She hands these out at every speaking engagement.  Her hope is that young women & men will recognize the behaviors outlined on the cards and will escape a relationship before it becomes violent.

Tyrese Gibson, actor and R&B singer, is a strong supporter of Marala Scott and her mission to help prevent the spread of domestic violence and child abuse. He and others feel this book should be made into a movie. The power and impact a movie has in immeasurable!
