This iReport is part of an assignment:
Your Family Journey |
Immigrant of the Day
I don't know about you, but I am tired of only seeing negative stories about immigrants in the news. I started a blog, Immigrant of the Day (www.immigrantoftheday.blogspot.com), as a way to share positive stories about immigrants living in the United States. My goal is to post a profile of an immigrant on this blog every day in 2010, starting January 1st.
If you are interested in being featured as Immigrant of the Day, please email the following to me at dailyimmigrant@gmail.com:
- your photo (preferred) or your favorite photo of your country of birth;
- first name;
- country of birth;
- state of current residence; and
- answers to the following questions:
- What does the American Dream mean to you?
- How do you work to make the United States a better place?
- What is your favorite food and why?
I request that only lawfully present immigrants respond, simply because I would never want to put anyone in danger by posting their picture and first name on this blog.
I am excited about this endeavor and thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to hearing your stories!
