my fiance is scheduled to take a BA flight from London to Chicago on December 22nd. he is in the British Royal Navy and i haven't seen him for four months. we were planning to spend Christmas with my family and then fly back to England together (on British Airways) on December 30th.  we were also going to get formally engaged (he is bringing my engagement ring from England) during this time period. however, if BA strikes, i may not get to spend my first christmas with my fiance at all. i think that the cabin crews and the baggage handlers are being extremely irresponsible and rude by threatening strike action during this time of the year. considering the high price of international plane tickets, they should trust that the company is trying to do the best they can for them. i can understand the struggles they've been having, but to ruin over a million people's christmas plans is just gross negligence to detail on their part. do they not realise how many christmases they may be destroying, and how many of us will not fly British Airways again? they'll make their situation even worse if they go ahead with this.

i know they'll break my heart if i can't go home with my fiance for christmas :(
