More Storm Damage Lee's Resort, Grove, Oklahoma
More of the storm damage from the striaght line winds at this beautiful little resort, located on the Elk River arm of the Grand Lake O' the Cherokee's. We had about 38 folks in our storm cellar, as the rotating wall cloud skirted the north edge of the lake. The following striaght line winds were probably in excess of 70++ miles per hour. Several of the shallow rooted trees toppled both inside and outside of the resort here. At least three of the residence mobile homes were damaged by the heavy trees. One of the trees root system was compromised, so the neighboring tree, is still in danger of falling in the next few high winds, and rained soaked ground.
