    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Kathy Kirkpatrick is the owner of Life Cafe, located in New York's East Village. The business has seen its ups and downs, but Kirkpatrick remains positive despite tough economic times.


    What will 2010 hold? mcintron will follow Kathy's story throughout the year.

    Photos taken at Life Cafe at the staff holiday party on December 17, 2009 after this iReporter spoke to Kathy Kirkpatrick, owner and founder, on the challenges she and Life Cafe face in this economy.  Doesn't that food look yummy? This iReporter can vouch that a good time was had by all.
