    ACLU Harassment

For the last several weeks we have been getting calls between 6 and 10 times a day from a phone spam company called Harris Direct. We stopped answering them because there was never anyone on the line. The calls have continued until today.

I picked up the call a few minutes ago and waited for about 20 seconds and finally a woman picked up the phone, asked my name and told me she was with Harris Direct and was calling to solicit money for the American Civil Liberties Union.

I was appalled. The ACLU, supposedly the protectors of our liberties has made our life miserable for weeks by employing a company to harass us into contributing money to them.

Do they really think that haranguing people with round the clock spam calls is going to make them want to donate?

I encourage anyone to might be considering giving money to the ACLU, or even considering contacting them or visiting their website to think twice. Apparently, they believe that they can treat people like they have any overdue credit card bill in order to try to get money from them.

At one point I may have considered supporting the ACLU. They have made me a lifelong opponent now. I don't care what they do that might be good. They are evil and I hope you will avoid them.
