    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     nancysv and her family embarked on a biking trip back in June 2008 from Alaska and hope to wind up at the southern tip in South America in early 2011.

    As part of an extended family bicycle tour, 2009 brought us from the Mexican border to the equator.  At this time next year we should be nearing the southern tip of South America!  Read more at www.familyonbikes.org
