    More from GiladD

    Israelis Cannot Rejoice Yet

The Israeli soldier is now 1276 days and more than 17 hours in the hands of Hamas' terrorists in Gaza. It has been almost three and a half years since the day when soldier Gilad Shalit was captivated and imprisoned somewhere inside Gaza strip.

My routine morning is pretty boring. I wake up every morning, brush my teeth and eat my breakfast. I turn the television on and watch the morning news broadcast. When the weather broadcast says it is a nice day, I open the window so some sunlight comes in and make my room warm and pleasant. But, sometimes I think, what about him?

He is there all the time. When I think of all the things that has changed since he was captivated, I imagine how difficult would be to come back home and discover about many things and incidents that have occurred through the years.

The negotiation between Israel and Hamas is continuing. Israel would have to pay a high price for the soldiers release, high means hundreds of captivated Hamas activists, some of them are a dangerous terrorists.

If telling you about the Israeli-street voices I can certainly say: Israelis want Gilad Shalit at home no matter how high the price is. Personally, I think the same, I want to see him back in Israel with his family.
