    The Night Before Christmas - Vintage

    Every Christmas Eve, my Dad would read "The Night Before Christmas" to my brother Dave and me on Christmas Eve, just before we went to bed.

     

    This photo was taken in 1965. I had just turned 9 and was in 4th grade; my brother was 5 and in kindergarten. By that time I had learned the truth about Santa Claus but needed to keep the secret for my brother's sake.


    "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
