Mayon continues to spew ash, lava, eruption is iminent
LEGAZPI CITY, PHILIPPINES ---> Mayon Volcano continues to spew out ash and lava and a eruption is iminent.
Residents who were evacuated from the danger zone and are now staying in shelters and public schools that serve as evacuation centers will be spending Christmas there and probably during New Year's Eve.
However recently, local media reports that PHIVOLCS said that Mayon may no longer have a violent explosion based frrom their recently survey.
iReporter Note: These photos were taken on December 24, 2009 , just a few hours before "noche buena" probably at around 5pm and 10pm. Luckily, my camera got a nighttime shot as for previous nights, I cannot get some photos
