This iReport is part of an assignment:
Your tips for Small Business Success |
Grammar Calendar (teacher created)
My small business is Educreations, and if I can do this anyone can!!! The product that is beginning to spread is Grammar Calendar. I use Grammar Calendar with my second grade students, but have now created it for Kindergarten through fifth grade. People were watching me and seeing my students understanding and comprehending things they struggled with previously. That is how Grammar Calendar began spreading. I had it copyrighted and started contacting anyone who would listen to me about my program.
My advice would be simple---believe you can, tell anyone who will listen about it, and when dealing with education DATA, DATA, DATA! If I can show you the data that proves Grammar Calendar is helping our students, you will be more likely to listen.
Another important thing to remember is you’re (I’m) not perfect. I have strengths and weaknesses just like anyone else. Finding people that can compliment your weakness and help you can make the difference. Without my weakness I wouldn’t be here today. I was a struggling learner and unsuccessful in school. However, my mom worked with me by using crazy songs, chants or sayings to help me recall information. When I decided to teach in the nontraditional the way I learn it worked. I now have three degrees in Education, and a business that is beginning to sprinkle throughout the United States.
