Caught in credit crack-down? |
We helped GM for no help in return
I must say I thought it was a great thing for President Obama to help a struggling GM. After all, they do employ thousands of hard working Americans. I was worried because I personally own two GM vehicles, or what was once a GM vehicle, a Saturn and a Hummer. My relief was short lived. Both vehicles depreciated so significantly that I can't get out of the negative equity. The Hummer has structural problems that no dealer knows how to fix. I called GM several times with no avail. Seems they got all the help they needed and wouldn't be helping anyone in return.
I am caught in a credit crunch because no bank will eat that much negative equity. I believe President Obama should impose sanctions on GM to cover the obvious depreciation that comes with their bankruptcy. As a tax payer I bailed them out. As a consumer they have shut the door on me. Not only can I not get rid of either car, I can't find a dealer with in an hour or two that can service the vehicle.
Thanks GM! Your solid business practices have caused a ripple effect all the way down to the consumer level.
