Widow donates husband's life insurance money to save old schoolhouse!
Mrs. Loretta Kendall and her husband for years dreamed of saving the old schoolhouse she remembered from her childhood. The old school closed in the early' 50's, became a church for about twenty-years, then was left unoccupied. The deteriorating structure had become a fire hazard and eyesore, prompting some residents to ask for its removal. But, after her husband's death, Loretta used his life insurance money to form a non-profit corporation dedicated to saving and rehabilitating the old diamond in the rough. This video is a short tribute to the couple's dreams!
