    ...I spent New Years Eve 2010 on a layover in a hotel located adjacent to the World Court in the Netherlands...The fireworks demonstration from my hotel window was incredible lasting almost an hour...things got a little out of hand however as two huge fires erupted near the waterfront....the fires raged for hours after the festivities ceased...local firefighters appeared to have the blazes under control..
