Steak Knives Distributed During Flight!
Houston ICA. I had a ticket for a flight to Amsterdam via NorthWest Airlines. I was returning to Iraq as a civilian contractor. I went through the usual TSA screening which forbids any type weapons etc. After boarding the airliner and around an hour into the flight it was time for lunch to be served. I was in coach not first class. We were given a type of steak to eat along with veggies.
I was cutting up my steak when I realized I was using a REGULAR type steak knife to cut the steak! Not a plastic knift but an actual steak knife with a wooden handle. If I had that knife in my possession when I was screened by TSA I would have been pulled aside and questioned and not allowed to carry it on board. But there right in my hand was a steak knife which had been given to me to use during my flight! I called TSA after the flight. Their response: "It's up the the airline what they give passengers after they board the plane!" DEAR GOD!
