    Raids on Citizens’ Houses to Collect Satellite Dishes
    In an organized move, the police in the province of Golesant launched raids on citizens’ homes to confiscate their satellite dishes and receivers.

    Human Rights Activist News Agency (HRANA): The police in the eastern part of Golestan launched a home-to-home raid in order to confiscate satellite dishes.

    The Police in various cities including Gonbad, Azadshahr, AliAbad, Minoodasht, and Kalaleh were roaming the streets with a special electronic device that enabled them to locate the satellite dishes. In addition to confiscating the systems, they recorded personal information of the owners in order to pass the information to the judiciary.

    Eyewitnesses reported that hundreds of dishes were confiscated.
