This iReport is part of an assignment:
Ringing in the new year |
900 brave individuals take the Polar Plunge in Boulder, Colorado for Alzheimer's research
Some people celebrate the New Year by sleeping in.
But in Boulder, Colorado about 900 crazy, brave, intrepid, foolhardy, generous and did we say crazy individuals took the annual New Year's Polar Plunge into freezing water to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.
The youngest was just a few years old and the oldest plunger was 82-years-old.
But they all shared one thing in common...a love of freezing cold water.
OK, that's probably not right...they all shared the goal to help a worthy cause, and celebrate the New Year in a most unusual manner.
