    Jason 2 Satellite Launch

     

    The Jason 2 satellite was launched into polar orbit from Vandenberg Air Force Base on a Delta-II rocket at 12:46 A.M. on Friday, June 20.  This five-minute time exposure was made in the Santa Ynez Mountains about 35 miles east of the launch pad.
