This iReport is part of an assignment:
Where it's not winter |
Maputo, Mozambique
Maputo, Mozambique, one of the hottest places in Southern Africa, is a place to escape if you want heat...any time of year. Even during the winter in the Summer Hemisphere, you'll break a sweat walking on the beach in Mozambique's capital city. I traveled with my friends to Maputo on a school break in July, 2009, and it was a lot of fun.
You'll find people speaking English and Portugese, and you'll enjoy a wide range of exciting dining, nightlife, and entertainment choices if you decide to visit this beautiful city.
1 - Footpath near Maputo Bay
2 - An apartment building in the city
3 - Maputo's Lusomundo movie theater
4 - My friends, Knowledge and Panashe, on our way to the beach
5 - A beachside restaurant and cafe
6 - The crew: I'm top right!
7 - The view from the restaurant
8 - Riding a rickety ferry across the Maputo bay
9 - View from the ferry
10 - People getting off the ferry
