Do you tattoo? |
Work Not a Problem at All!
I've had tattoos for years. I have been working in the oil&gas industry for several years now, and when I got the buffalo skull tattoo on my left forearm, everyone thought it was the coolest thing - where I live, it's hard to find someone WITHOUT a tattoo - we're all cowboys/cowgirls, oilfield workers, miners, ranchers... most of my customers think the tattoos I have are cool - they ask me where I got them so they can add another!
I also have my tongue pierced 4-gauge, a ring in my lower lip, my ears have several piercings... and the owner of the company I work for thinks I'm one pretty cool chick. My husband works for a mine in the refinery - he has 15 tattoos and his tongue pierced. I think that if a company does not want to hire you for who you are, then you don't need to lend your work/services/brain to that company! And - what if your tattoos were religious... would that be discrimination?
