Military Rites for Tsgt Tony Campbell Jr USAFR , EOD TECH , KIA AFGHANISTAN by; Gerald Scott Flint

    22 December 2009.near Florence , Kentucky

Tony Campbell Jr , age 35 USAFR , 932 CE is laid to rest with the volley then the playing  of "TAPS"   He was killed while protecting others from an IED in Southern Afghanistan on 15 December 2009.

Tony was also a Police Officer from the Cincinnati , Oh area. He was loved by many in his civilian and military life. Tony taught us much about IED and Explosive Agents to stay clear of down range, I owe him much!. I remembered that training and it has kept my teams and I alive more than once. Simply to honor a man such as Tony on a single day just doesn't seem like enough to me. The countries of Afghanistan and The United States can never honor enough nor repay what Tony did for the cause of free people in this world!

A Blackhawk is brought in to Salute Tsgt Campbell by members of a former unit. Gerald Scott Flint sings :Hero before he died " a song written by Flint in honor of his fellow men and women who fall in the line of duty. A Local Law Enforcement Band played "Going Home" as Tsgt Campbell was brought in by the USAF Honor Guard.

He was a Hero as died in the line of duty but he was also , "A Hero Before He Died" .
