A healing approach to world problems
Watching the crisis in Haiti I thought maybe what we need is a permanent Medical response team in the Caribbean. What if the US teamed up with Cuba, and other counties, and turned Guantanamo into a massive hospital complex, free to all those living in Central and South America. A base for a fleet of hospital ships to move throughout the area giving free medical assistance, moving from port to port. It could be a place where future doctors were trained. It would give us a working relationship with Cuba and other countries that was beneficial to all. What if America was known for its ability to aid and train, rather than exploitation of other’s resources and war? Maybe a bold move like this could change the course of events world wide. Its amazing what we could do if we tried.
