High Drug & Insurance Prices? Coakely Loves It!
Some of the biggest and most influential drug and health insurance conglomerates are padding the coffers of Martha Coakely's campaign for Democratic Senator of Massachusetts.
Chicago style machine politics made it's way into the Massachusetts state political scene as confirmed by Timothy Carney of the Washington Examiner, who reported the host committee for the Martha Coakely fundraiser at Pennsylvania Avenue’s Sonoma Restaurant includes lobbyists for Pfizer, Merck, Eli Lilly, Novartis and sundry other drug companies that have been among the biggest of ObamaCare’s corporate sponsors. Other hosts—who have raised at least $10,000 for Ms. Coakley—include representatives from UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana and other insurers. It seems claims that big pharma and health insurance companies are opposed ObamaCare were falsely made by democratic politicians.
I thought senators jobs were to "represent the people", not big pharma and wealthy health insurance companies...this is a clear indication of what is going on behind the closed door negotiations over healthcare in Washington.
A vote for Brown, is a vote for the citizens of Massachusetts. A vote for Coakely is a vote for big pharma and insurance companies...business as usual.
