Haiti earthquake aftermath |
Rush Limbaugh... A Great American?
I was moved to tears earlier today when I saw a report on CNN featuring Doctor Gupta. Although Gupta was in Haiti as a correspondent while he and his crew were working the streets the doctor was approached by a man carrying an infant in need of medical help. Doctor Gupta went right in to "doctor mode" and proceeded to care for the baby right on the spot.
Gupta without any hesitation put his doctor's hat on and evaluated the infant's condition. It was a great thing to witness. So many people are injured, but at least one baby was being cared for by an American doctor, and the baby was going to be OK. "Haiti" had head lacerations and no other injuries. It was an amazing feeling.I was thankful for Doctor Gupta.
Then it came to mind the remarks Rush Limbaugh made recently regarding the earthquake in Haiti and President Obama quick response to send aid.
"President Obama and his administration would use Haiti to get closer to the light-skinned and dark-skinned black [communities] in this country"
While adding that the U.S. has “already donated to Haiti. It’s called the U.S. income tax.”
Does Rush have a heart? Or is he always mean and nasty?
If Rush did not have the support of so many people in the US he would be out of a job. So, the question is: why so many people support and like Rush Limbaugh when he is such an angry hateful individual... I really don't get it.
