IMUS COMMENT ANALYSIS
It's true that Imus is very sarcastic, and says unwise things sometimes on the air. But in this case, in regards to his comments on the NFL player, I don't think he was meaning to be racial, but rather, I think that some in the African American community, are taking this way too far, and blowing it out of proportion. Race is such a touchy subject now, and it really irkes me when you got those that are still stuck in slavery from over 100 years ago, or segregation more than 60 years ago. When, we are in the year 2008, and need to bury the past, and move on, and stop keeping the race deal alive. I can bet you, that before long, if it hasn't already happened, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will be on the scene, to 'fight for the black community' because Imus made a 'racial' comment.
