Imus controversy |
Sick of Al Shaprton....
Will Al Sharpton please leave Don Imus the hell alone? Newsflash Al, Imus owes you and the black community, of which I am a member, jack squat. If he is a racist, so what?! If a radio station wants a supposed racist on the air, TURN THE DAMN KNOB!!! Stop finding any excuse to get on the television, claim to be a leader of the black community (and how the hell are you a leader... I sure as hell didn't vote for you), and point the finger at EVERYONE ELSE. I subscribe to Bill Cosby's train of thought... we have to change our culture.
If you want to be a leader Mr. Sharpton why don't you start by convincing our men to stay at home and be TRUE husbands and fathers (more than 40% of black children live with a single mother)? Why don't you start in our schools and convince our children that being ignorant, uneducated, and disrepsectful IS NOT REFLECTIVE OF BEING BLACK (in 2005 11% of black youth were high school dropouts)??? Why don't you start by speaking to our people about taking pride in our ghettos, valuing human life, respecting the law... ANY THING?!? But you won't do that because that takes real work, dedication, sacrifice, and courage, of which you have none. You attack Don Imus for mere words... words!
You inflate these non-issues that affect the black community not. You run from the true challenges. You weren't even relavant in the 60's when you ran along side Rev. King. What have you done for the black community? Nothing!
Why won't you perform an action that actually means something, or just go away?
