Mavis Staples was the Voice of the Civil Rights Movement! Sang Freedom songs before Dr. Martin Luther King would speak and for the marches. Mavis talks about her experiences with Dr. Martin Luther King and shares one of her favorite memories of him. Mavis also talks about the tragedy in Haiti and sings her song 'Have a LIttle Faith'.
