This iReport is part of an assignment:
Fun on the cheap |
Have Fun the Free Way! (Cuz by putting the word Poor in the first title everyone took it personally)
As a young adult (or middle aged young adult, eh screw it, I'm 29!) I know my friends and I are continually trying to find ways to have a good time on teeny weeny (microscopic even) budgets.
Here is what I came up with:
1)Jump On Your Bed (you get to feel like you are flying but without the cost of really flying and without the danger of death - well unless you fall off the bed and break your skull, but try not to do that ok?)
2) Slip in Slide Baby..Slip AND Slide.
3) Water Pistols and/or Balloons. These can be purchased very cheaply from your local Dollar Store and can give you minutes maybe even hours of fun and can turn into a wet tshirt party if you are very very lucky.
4) Turn up the radio REAL loud and dance your ass off. Its fun, its good for your cardiovascular system AND its a great way for you to let go of those pesky inhibitions.
5) Read Books. Its quiet, peaceful, calming (I am aware those are all pretty much the same thing) and it costs nothing, go to your local library, get a card and off you go kiddies!
Ok ok, so maybe its not the most exciting list of things to do but hey, its a list of things to do so try one, try two, heck, try em all and see if it doesnt make you feel a little bit better. Who needs money to have a good time?
What do you think of this story?
