Things found on Pit Road
OK,,Pit Road, is the area inside the track where the cars come when fuel, tires adjustments, repairs and stuff like that are needed. Sometimes cheating is done on Pit Road,,non-approved adjustments. Mainly, at certain times during a race the cars need fuel and tires,,as going 200 MPH burns alot of fuel and eats up tires. So, the crew chief talks to the driver and they both plan a strategy/time when it is convenient/strategic to have the driver bring the car down Pit Road and the Pit Crew slams on tires,,(Goodyear Racing Eagles) and put in as much Sunoco Racing Fuel,,(usually 22 gallons) to keep the car running. Adjustments made during this short time may be shock/springs, steering, clean off front grill in front of radiator, windshield tearoff, give driver a drink or something, or try and fix any damage that may have occurred on the car up to that point. If the damage is really bad, the car is usually taken back to the garage/car hauler area for this.
OK,,this is the 4th week I have been sending in some of my best stuff, trying to be qualified for seeing a race in Atlanta,,can I at least get an autographed picture??
Thank you,,Brad in Florida
