Obama NYC Jacket Billboard Creates Controversy
Our current President has been a salesperson for change and health care reform. But if you hurry up, you can see him selling jackets.
A New York based garment company has stirred quite a controversy by installing a larger-than-life corner double billboard on Seventh Avenue and 41st Street.
The ad shows a photograph (credited to AP) of President Obama wearing a Weatherproof jacket during his visit last year to the Great Wall of China.
According to a local newspaper, the White House wants Weatherproof to bring the ad down and cites a policy of not having the President's name or image used to endorse any commercial product.
Earlier this week the ad was still there, glowing in one of the most visually crowded areas in the planet.
The text of the ad is simply "A Leader in Style".
