Imus controversy |
Don Imus Targeted Again?
It's surprising how little one has to say anything remotely off the wall to be considered racist. Any time Imus says anything reguarding African-Americans, Al Sharpton will be there to do anything in his power to have Imus removed from his position as a radio host or to ruin his reputation.
Imus set off another firestorm Monday by asking "What color is he?" after hearing Jones' lengthy rap sheet.
Told that the Cowboys cornerback is African American, Imus said: "Well, there you go. Now we know."
Sharpton, now completely biased against Imus, reguardless of how "disturbing" Imus' comments may not be, is using his power to try to overcome Imus at every chance he gets, reguardless of whether or not Imus was even doing anything wrong.
The only person racist here is Sharpton himself. Or, if not racism against Imus, at least extreme prejudice.
Perhaps Al Sharpton actually needs to start focusing on other problems in the African-American community, such as why there are so many black children without fathers.
