    Obama Joins the pack

To be honest, I didn't vote in the last election.   I saw a wolf with two heads and one body.   Either way I felt screwed.   Near the end of the race I felt elated, I wished I had changed my voting state to my new home state to I could participate in an historic election.   Obama brought hope, he brought life, and he brought energy to a whole generation of americans who felt overlooked by the political machine.

I stood in the streets of Venice, Ca. watching as cars drove by honking, teenagers banged pots & pans in the street, and Americans flooded bars to celebrate the end of an oppressive president bent on a corporate agenda.   We felt liberated for the first time in 8 years.

The pots stopped banging, the cars stopped honking, and one day we turned the corner and realized we were back where we started.   Obama joined the status quo.

Had we elected McCain we'd have soldiers in Iraq, a surge in Afghanistan, the public option would be tabled, and special interests would be winning more pork for their barrels... boy am I glad we elected Obama.

Mr. President, this is an open letter to you.   Get your act together.   If you truly plan on screwing us, the American people, in the spirit of your failed transparency, explain your reasons.

This is a manifesto, the American people are tired of this.   They are tired of political parties, they are tired of being ruled by corporations, and they are tired of you.   We have only so little patience as a country left and you, Mr. President, are trying it.   So with all due respect, earn my patience and stop trying to please people.
