    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     iReporter mhalliday said he finished this project -- which cost around $45 -- in a day. 'We needed an office, but it didn't make sense to use an entire room for it,' he said.

    We needed an office, but didn't have the space to dedicate a whole room. The right solution for us was to re-purpose a small closet. It is a quiet, organized place for those days when I work from home, with enough desk area for my work laptop and the home computer. Our daughters also use it for school projects.

     

    We used hanging shelves and leftover paint from another project, so the cost was minimal. It took less than a day to complete.
