Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, Drumheller
A few scenes from one of the greatest collections of disnosaur bones in the world. A world class archaeological/geological site. Designated a World Heritage Site like Olduvai Gorge in Kenya discovered by Mary Leakey and her husban Lewis.
The exhibits will keep you spell bound for days. So do not plan just one day.
Tour the badlands valley, picnic, take photos. Go out and see the big fossil trees and bones in their real settings still sitting in the ground. There are campgournds and friendsly tourists. It is a safe place to go in east central Alberta. 1 1/2 hours from Clagary Intnl Airport and lots of hotels with dining and water slides.
Plan a trip to Dinosaur Provincial Park for the real show on bones, fossil trees and excavations of the big dinosaurs. This is about 1 hour east of Drumheller. Camping available and one hotel at Patricia and several at nearby Brooks an hour away. You can be a summer intern and help dig the big crreatures out of the cliffs.
