15 Days Later and Still No Food, Water, or Medical Aid Has Reached Trouin, Haiti
Although news of the four people killed while attending a church service in Trouin, Haiti was one of the first reports following the earthquake, Trouin has yet to receive ANY aid. There are over 500 people homeless and living in a field. Many are injured and in need of medical care. There are no doctors or medical personnel in Trouin. The are in DESPERATE need of WATER, FOOD, and MEDICAL CARE.
We have been in constant contact with Trouin as well as relief agencies on the ground in Port-au-Prince. At lease one attempt was made to reach Trouin, but the helicopter was reportedly unable to find a place to land.
Haitian Hope is a mission out of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Macon, Georgia. We have had a relationship with our sister parish, St. Marc's in Trouin, for over 6 years. We are desperate to help our brothers and sisters.
